Those Altec or EV? I don't recall any Altec motor looking like that.

If they have the 4 spoke frame they are Altecs. They were dropped after the merger and Altec marketed the EVM-12L and EVM-12s instead.

i have what I thought was a 3127 with an EV frame. it looks like the er12s in the pics bowtie posted. it sounds nothing like them. it has a really nice sounding upper range. the only problem is, it looks like someone wrinkled the cone around the outside. maybe it would give it that distorted sound.
